When it comes to building your online business and your email list, there are two important concepts that should always be on the forefront of your mind. This is particularly true when you do a lot of content marketing, as most of us do.

Those concepts are leverage and momentum.

We’ve talked a lot so far in this challenge about generating momentum. I didn’t say it in so many words, but anytime I mentioned that this is something you need to do regularly and that it would be more effective the more often you did it, what we were really talking about was creating momentum.

Momentum is what helps you get the ball rolling and continue to grow your list and your business exponentially.

And as you start to create some momentum and see some growth, you can start to leverage that into growing even faster. That’s what today’s post is about. I’m going to show you how you can leverage your existing subscribers and get them to help you grow your list.

It’s deceptively simple but works like a charm. All you’ve got to do is ask. I’m serious. Ask your readers to help you grow your list. Here’s how.

Ask Your Readers To Help

pageEvery once in awhile, add a note to your email and tell your readers that they are welcome to share the message with others who are interested in the same thing. Then link to an opt-in page where new readers can sign up. Or ask your readers to share a link to your opt-in page with their friends who may want to sign up as well.

Simple Reminders Work

Here’s the thing. When your readers love your content and get a lot of value from being on your list, they love to share it with others. They just don’t know that it’s ok to forward that email, or invite someone to join your list. Perhaps they know and just forget about it.

By simply reminding them regularly and asking them to help you grow, you not only grow your reach and your list, you’re also building a closer relationship with our current subscribers.

They love being able to return the favor and do something for you.

The Rundown
