Growing your list is a lot of work. I’m sure that comes to you as no surprise at this point. The way you make it work is by repurposing and leveraging everything you do. Yesterday we talked about repurposing content into a podcast.

Today we’re going to talk about taking some of your content and various lead magnets and info products you’re creating and turning them into yet another way to grow our lists.

Let’s Create Your Gift

If you don’t have any little eBooks or short reports yet, here’s an easy way to create them. This works for this giveaway strategy but also when you need a new lead magnet.

Look through the content you’ve written lately and find 7 to 10 related posts. Copy and paste them into a word document, do a little editing and you have a short report. Add more posts for longer eBooks.

Alternatively, you can plan for this before you write your posts. Come up with a series of posts that will also end up becoming chapters in your short report or eBook. Better yet, introduce a weekly feature (i.e. every Thursday you share a new list building tip) and compile those into a short report as time goes by.

Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle

No matter how you do it, the important part is to reuse, repurpose, and recycle your content as much as possible.
Let’s get back to these short reports and a different way to use them to grow your list. The basic idea is again very simple. The secret to making it work is to do this regularly.

Take one or several of your eBooks and short reports and give them a light edit. Mainly you want to make sure your own info (where to find you etc.) is prominently featured in the report along with an invitation to join your list. Save the documents and turn them into pdfs.

Recruit Others To Join the Giveaway

Now start to offer them to other marketers to give away. Find a few info product (or even physical product) sellers in your niche and offer them your eBook or short report as a free bonus they can give away with each purchase.

Are there big bundle sales going on in your niche? Possibly so. They tend to be very popular in quite a few different niches these days and you can submit the same eBooks and short reports to those types of sales.

The idea is to get your high-quality content in front of as many eyeballs as possible. Hopefully, people will read it, realize you know what you’re talking about and then sign up for your list.

The Rundown

Unless you are dealing with people with a large, highly-responsive list, you won’t see a huge spike in subbies each time you do this. Keep at it, and keep offering to give away these pieces of recycled content and you will start to see an increase in list growth.
